That sounded good to me being from freezing London !

Now a guy making jewelry might sound a bit sissy, well i didn't care, anything was better than working in a factory 9 - 5 right? So with no previous skills and having taken no classes - i started to make simple jewelry from beads and wire i bought in londons Covent garden bead shop.

Well, i made money but not much. Pretty much everyone there was selling jewelry. Competition. So, entirely by chance a guy set up his stall next to me one night, when i say 'stall' it was actually a cloth, on the ground with tools and wire inside.

In the next hour this guy made more money than i did in a week. That was when i had an 'aha' moment, one that was to change my life".

So what are the expenses i hear You say ! Well, once off costs for the tools, approx. $100 at the time, wire (depending on what sort of wire you use, but for me it Was approximately 20c worth of wire and i was charging $15 per piece at the time) and stall rent, approximately $10 to $20 depending On the market, and some other incidental costs.

Now this is in a small town. Imagine what you could earn in a big city if you really wanted too.
